Helping You Grow Resilience in Those You Serve!
HELPING THE HELPERS
National Resilience Institute (NRI) has organically grown from a local grassroots community resiliency project to an initiative of the nonprofit Worldmaker International with a mission of helping community helpers across our country grow resilience in those they serve.
We fulfill our mission by providing research-informed education to those invested in building human resilience, including youth builders, disaster preparedness and recovery teams, and those supporting our law enforcement, first responders, and service personnel and families.
We have an urgent need to grow strength and the capacity to respond to current and pending demands. This goes beyond bolstering physical resources to preparing for psychosocial impacts such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, hopelessness, violence, family dysfunction, and the breaking down of social bonds.
Our evidence-informed frameworks create a normative belief that with appropriate supports, we have the potential to use adversity as an opportunity to learn, grow, and even thrive.
With the support of our international parent organization, NRI actively collaborates with local and national organizations to proactively build human resilience and forge supports that assist and advance local responses to traumatic disruptions and the devastating psychological impact that they wield.
These projects bring to life our vision of a unified and robust national narrative of human resilience that can be used to fuel local efforts to create inclusive environments of connectedness, improve health throughout the lifespan, and respond to traumatic events with strength.
