Tickets for the workshop are free for residents of Mount Vernon and Lisbon but space is limited and registration is required.
What is THRIVE?
The THRIVE Resilience Model™ is a simple yet holistic model that helps you put six core capacity builders into action to grow strength in yourself and others: Trusted relationships, High expectations, Resilience skills, Involvement, Vision, and Enrichment. The THRIVE workshop helps community adults come together to create an environment that recognizes and actively supports every person’s right to thrive.
What You Will Learn:
• Understand the impact of trauma on the brain
• Gain skills to help others heal and overcome adversity
• Master key aspects of growing human resilience
• Create environments that support emotional regulation and learning
• Support collaboration within community
• Grow self-mastery and leadership skills
Who Should Attend: Teachers, School staff, Coaches and youth group leaders, Counselors, Community leaders, Faith based staff, Parents, Health professionals — and anyone dedicated to helping others!
ONE DAY OPTION: You will be equipped to immediately start putting what you’ve learned into action to help others.
TWO DAY OPTION: Receive additional tools and materials, including a slide deck to help share the tools with others!
Through a Mental Health Disability Services, East Central Region grant, this Workshop is being offered at no cost to Mount Vernon and Lisbon school staff and residents. Additional need-based scholarships are available.
